Book Tour: The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd-Jones | Spotlight

Welcome to my stop on the TBR and Beyond Tours Book Tour for The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd-Jones. I’ve read The Bone Houses a few years back, still need to read The Hearts We Sold, and I found it enjoyable. Emily does a great job at creating atmosphere – I always loved her locations. So I was very excited to find out about The Drowned Woods, which just sounds right up my alley – retelling, magic, oh and set in the same world as The Bone Houses!

I wont be getting to this until next month at the earliest, so to find out what other’s think you can scroll to the bottom for the Tour Schedule with links to other content creator’s pages.

Goodreads Synopsis: Dev Deshpande has always believed in fairy tales. So it’s no wonder then that he’s spent his career crafting them on the long-running reality dating show Ever After. As the most successful producer in the franchise’s history, Dev always scripts the perfect love story for his contestants, even as his own love life crashes and burns. But then the show casts disgraced tech wunderkind Charlie Winshaw as its star.

Charlie is far from the romantic Prince Charming Ever After expects. He doesn’t believe in true love, and only agreed to the show as a last-ditch effort to rehabilitate his image. In front of the cameras, he’s a stiff, anxious mess with no idea how to date twenty women on national television. Behind the scenes, he’s cold, awkward, and emotionally closed-off.

As Dev fights to get Charlie to connect with the contestants on a whirlwind, worldwide tour, they begin to open up to each other, and Charlie realizes he has better chemistry with Dev than with any of his female co-stars. But even reality TV has a script, and in order to find to happily ever after, they’ll have to reconsider whose love story gets told.

In this witty and heartwarming romantic comedy—reminiscent of Red, White & Royal Blue and One to Watch—an awkward tech wunderkind on a reality dating show goes off-script when sparks fly with his producer.

Recommendations: Nine 2022 LGBTQIA+ Reads

I find myself wanting to make recommendations lists from time to time, but don’t always have a specific post or reason in mind. With that thought in mind, I’d thought from time to time I’d do random recommendations. These recommendations could fit a theme of the month or genre’s I’ve been gravitating towards. This is only my second one, first one was Five Adult RomComs all the way back in February (but I think I have another one coming a lot sooner!).

I’ve read so many amazing LGBTQIA+ books this year already that I wanted to share some. I decided to be super specific this time a pick only 2022 releases! I may have to do a Part 2 near the end of the year the way things are going because I had originally planned only 5 but couldn’t cute enough lol! So without further adieu, let’s get into it!

Book Tour:  A Little Bit Country by Brian D Kennedy | Spotlight

Welcome to my stop on the TBR and Beyond Tours Book Tour for  A Little Bit Country by Brian D Kennedy. This title and this cover were too cute for me not to be interested it in lol. I don’t think I’ve read a book that’s focused on county – Pop bands/music yes, but not country – which really is a shame on my part lol. If you’re curious what other’s have thought, be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the tour schedule and links to other content creators.
