Book Tour: Alliana, Girl of Dragons by Julie Abe | Spotlight

Welcome to my stop on the TBR and Beyond Tours Book Tour for Alliana, Girl of Dragons by Julie Abe. I absolutely loved the Eva Evergreen book (still need to read the second), and had to check out Abe’s new book inside that same world! Then found out it was also inspired by the Japanese version of Cinderalla, which just further sold it to me. Top 5 Anticipated Reads: August 2022

After looking through my anticipated reads for the last year, I’ve decided I will NOT be going over 5 lol That one 9 really messed with my numbers (ok maybe only by a few percentages but still). So the 6 I had listed… we’re booting one lol. Don’t worry I’ll tell you the “honourable mention” at the end, but it wont count against me when I do a check in later lol

In release date order, here are my top 5 (and 1 honourable mention) anticipated books for August 2022.

Recommendations: Five Spooky Middle Grades

I find myself wanting to make recommendations lists from time to time, but don’t always have a specific post or reason in mind. With that thought in mind, I’d thought from time to time I’d do random recommendations. These recommendations could fit a theme of the month or genre’s I’ve been gravitating towards. I’ve done a couple now, Five Adult RomComs and Nine LGBTQIA+ Reads, and thought I’d quickly do another.

In May I read a lot of spooky middle grades – really a lot of horror that month because that’s just want I had been wanting to read. So with that in mind, in no particular order, here are five spooky middle grades that I’ve read recently that I’d recommend. Oh and a big thank you to Melanie from TBR and Beyond who has been feeding my spooky middle grade needs lol.

Book Tour: Nura and the Immortal Palace by M. T. Khan | Spotlight

Welcome to my stop on the TBR and Beyond Tours Book Tour for Nura and the Immortal Palace by M. T. Khan. This sounds like a really good middle grade, one I think would be perfect for September. Between being compared to Aru Shah and the End of Time and Spirited Away, plus the cover design, I don’t know, just very Autumnal feels. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the tour schedule for other content creators.

Recommendations: Nine 2022 LGBTQIA+ Reads

I find myself wanting to make recommendations lists from time to time, but don’t always have a specific post or reason in mind. With that thought in mind, I’d thought from time to time I’d do random recommendations. These recommendations could fit a theme of the month or genre’s I’ve been gravitating towards. This is only my second one, first one was Five Adult RomComs all the way back in February (but I think I have another one coming a lot sooner!).

I’ve read so many amazing LGBTQIA+ books this year already that I wanted to share some. I decided to be super specific this time a pick only 2022 releases! I may have to do a Part 2 near the end of the year the way things are going because I had originally planned only 5 but couldn’t cute enough lol! So without further adieu, let’s get into it!
