2021 October Wrap Up – Tops & Bottoms

Welcome to October’s Tops & Bottoms. This came about after realizing that I was getting overwhelmed with the number of books I was reading in a month, but still wanted to do some type of wrap up. I then decided to follow in Lianne (Literary Diversions) footsteps and talk about my two top and two bottom books of the month. This way I can talk about books that I really want to focus on and spread the word about. Every now and then I might put in an honourable mention, but other than that a lot more manageable!

October was an interesting month – apparently I decided to forego entering my books into my tracker – only Goodreads – so half my stats are non-existent – hence the barebones of it all. But I didn’t want to skip another month. I have some great books I want to talk about.

Top 5 Anticipated Reads: November 2021

Well, I’m late, but better than not at all? As you probably saw, October was a busy month so I ended up missing my November Top 5 Anticipated Reads. But that’ll just mean you’ll see two this month!

I’ve decided to start keeping track of my top 5 anticipated reads of each month. I’m thinking of looking back every six months to see how many I’ve actually read and if I reviewed them. This may help keep me accountable and possibly not forget some of these books.

So what are my top 5 anticipated books coming out in November 2021?

First Line Fridays | 3 November

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?  If you want to make your own post, follow the rules below:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

If you’re using Twitter, don’t forget to use #FirstLinesFridays!

Here we go…

2021 November TBR

Well it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a TBR, and we’re already 3 days into the month and my plans have already changed – so maybe it was a good thing I didn’t do this just yet. This time around, I’m just going to list the books I’m interested in read – I didn’t break them down into buddy reads, ARCs, and others this time. Ok – all that’s out of the way, let’s get into the books I’m hoping to read this month.
