Orilium Spring Equinox 2022: Magical Readathon Wrap-up

I did it! I finished my first round, semester, of Orilium! I made a TBR at the begining of April and now let’s take a look at what I was able to finish! You can find out everything you need to know about Orilium and the Magical Readathon – rules, prompts, etc. – you can find it on G’s Magical Readathon: Orillium Spring Equinox 2022 Announcement video.

I think I did really well this round, with Eevilia being able to complete all her classes with ease. Spring Equinox Semester!

2022 Reading Challenges | Quarter 1 Check-in

Time for another check-in! This one is Reading Challenges. If you curious how I’ve done with my 10 Bookish Goals and Priority Series Goals, you can check out those check-in too. I’m hoping I’m doing better on the Reading Challenge than my priority series, but I don’t have a good feeling lol. I may have fallen very far behind on tracking my challenges, so let’s learn how bad I did together lol.

Orilium Spring Equinox 2022: Magical Readathon TBR

I had participated in the previous Orilium Readathons that G from Book Roast created, well in a very relaxed way. I had meant to participate at the time they were running to create my character, I ended up not being able to do that. So to “participate” and create my character, I went with whatever I read prior to April 1st, 2022 – the start of Orilium Spring Equinox 2022 Magical Readathon.

To find out everything you need to know about Orilium and the Magical Readathon – rules, prompts, etc. – you can find it on G’s Magical Readathon: Orillium Spring Equinox 2022 Announcement video.

Let me officially introduce you to my character. Eevilia, Fire Earthling is a Wildling from Irtheria. She has a magical trident (think Sailor Pluto’s Trident) and cat familiar by her side. She is attending Orilium with a calling of Master of Elements.

So that all cover, let’s go over the prompts and the books I picked for the Master of Elements Spring Equinox Semester!

Odds & Ends: 2022 Reading Challenges

I fell a little behind in January so I wasn’t able to share my Reading Challenges I’m hoping to complete in 2022. This one will just be the listing of the Challenge and prompts. I will check in quarterly (like all my other odds & ends lists lol) to see just how far I’ve gotten, which is where you’ll see the books matched with the prompts. Hopefully by the first check-in I’ll have more graphics to use lol.

Oh and for anyone curious, I will be using one book across multiple challenges if and when I can! No reason to make this super hard mode lol.

Enough said lol, let’s get started.

Me making all the lists lol

Clear Your Shit: A Readathon – Weeks 7 Wrap Up

We’re nearing the end!!

For those who didn’t see my previous three wrap ups, Clear Your Shit is a 2 month long readathon hosted by Andee and El/Art, running from November 1 to December 27. Why? 1) it was cute and clearly designed (check out Twitter Page!!); 2) I NEED TO CLEAR OUT MY SHIT!!! I have way way way way way too many unread books that I own and these prompts just might help me along.

Clear Your Shit: A Readathon – Weeks 5-6 Wrap Up

Why? 1) it was cute and clearly designed (check out Twitter Page!!); 2) I NEED TO CLEAR OUT MY SHIT!!! Clear Your Shit: A Readathon – Week 4 Wrap Up

Wow! I can’t believe we’re already half way through the Clear Your Shit: A Readathon! So what did I get up to this week?

For those who didn’t see my previous three wrap ups, Clear Your Shit is a 2 month long readathon hosted by Andee and El/Art, running from November 1 to December 27. Why? 1) it was cute and clearly designed (check out Twitter Page!!); 2) I NEED TO CLEAR OUT MY SHIT!!! I have way way way way way too many unread books that I own and these prompts just might help me along.

Character

Name: YoungatHeartReader
Fatal Flaw: Reads a new book before reading any of the books already owned
Top Strength: Audiobook Hero, Master of Headphones
Weapon of Choice: a book, which may be magical, or just glittery (see fun and cute) – how could I not pick a book that sparkles?!?!?!

Quest Log

To see what I completed Week 1, Week 2, and Week 3 be sure to check out my previous wrap ups.

Wrap Up

So this week I didn’t complete as many as last week.

Intimidating Book: European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman

Free Choice: The Night Swim

I didn’t get to as many as I would have liked this week, but European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman was a huge book that intimidated me a lot (for size alone) and I’m so glad I read it! I instantly bought book 3 after finishing it.

How are you doing so far? How overwhelming is your currently owned TBR? Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments below.

Clear Your Shit: A Readathon – Week 3 Wrap Up

Ok I’m a little late at posting my wrap up for the Clear Your Shit: A Readathon.

For those who didn’t see my previous two wrap ups, Clear Your Shit is a 2 month long readathon hosted by Andee and El/Art, running from November 1 to December 27. Why? 1) it was cute and clearly designed (check out Twitter Page!!); 2) I NEED TO CLEAR OUT MY SHIT!!! Wrap Up

Ok so what have I completed this week?

Shortest Book: Be Not Far From Here

With an Animal: The Boy, The Wolf, and the Stars

Most Expensive Book: Spoiler Alert

Mini Boss Battle: A Book Your Purchased This Year: A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire

The mini boss battle is based on your fatal flaw. Since I picked “Read a new book before books you own” my prompt was Read a book you purchased this year, preferably the oldest.

I’m happy with the amount I read last week! A lot of these books aren’t small and I’m working on a rather large one for this week. I’ve managed to clear 10 spaces and only have 14 left. I wish I had read more from my TBR instead of picking up more and more from the library. I think my goal for the rest of readathon is to pick solely from my own books (except for some buddy reads, which I will have to grab from the library).

How are you doing so far? How overwhelming is your currently owned TBR? Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments below.

Clear Your Shit: A Readathon – Week 2 Wrap Up

So I decided I wanted to participate in Clear Your Shit: A Readathon, a 2 month long readathon hosted by Andee and El/Art, running from November 1 to December 27. Why? 1) it was cute and clearly designed (check out Twitter Page!!); 2) I NEED TO CLEAR OUT MY SHIT!!! I have way way way way way too many unread books that I own and these prompts just might help me along.

Quest Log

Last week I completed Book with a Map and Character you want to fight.

Wrap Up

Ok so what have I completed this week?

Found Family: Born at Dawn by Christina Davis

Book with Blue/Water theme: Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

Free Space: Obsidio by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

That’s it for this week. I sadly had to use a free space – just couldn’t think of where else Obsidio would fit. Thankfully there are still more available. It looks like this week we’ll find out what the first mini boss battle will be – oddly excited!

Are you participating in Clear Your Shit: A Readathon? If you are, how have you been doing with it?

Clear Your Shit: A Readathon – Week 1 Wrap Up

So I decided I wanted to participate in Clear Your Shit: A Readathon, a 2 month long readathon hosted by Andee and El/Art, running from November 1 to December 27. Why? 1) it was cute and clearly designed (check out Twitter Page!!); 2) I NEED TO CLEAR OUT MY SHIT!!! I have way way way way way too many unread books that I own and these prompts just might help me along.

My plan (keyword: plan) is to update you all on my progress at the end of each week (Sunday) on how I’m doing – if I managed to finish any prompts and what books those were.

So first, my player….

Next, the prompts:

Image

Each week, when I update, I will put the books that I had completed the week before under their prompts (so next week you will see the books I’ve completed this week in their corresponding prompts). My strategy is to save the free choice prompts for emergencies, which means I may not put the book I read that week in until the end so I can see what I can fit into proper prompts (if that makes any sense to anyone besides me lol) but we shall see.

Wrap Up

Ok so what have I completed so far this week?

Book with a Map: Illuminae by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman

Character You Want to Fight: Little Monsters by Kara Thomas

So that’s it for this week. Not off to a bad start I don’t think – although I did read 2 library books, so it could have been better. I’m curious what the Mini Battles will be!

Are you participating in Clear Your Shit: A Readathon? Are you now thinking about joining?
