Alright, this is the second last check-in if all is going to plan. Just this and then I was hoping to check in with the last year’s Top 5 Releases to see whether or not I’ve read any of them yet. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. If you want to see my previous Quarter 2 Check-ins you can see them here: 10 Bookish Goals, 2022 Most Anticipated, 22 Books in 2022, and Priority Series. Now let’s see if I’ve managed to get any further into these challenges these last few months.

A to Z Challenge – 20/26
This one’s pretty self-explanatory, plus it’s been around forever. That being said, I’m going to attempt to just use the first letter in a title as much as possible. If it becomes too hard, or I’m unable to find a letter that fits then I can use an author’s last name.
I didn’t make any progress this quarter for this challenge. I’m really going to have to focus and find books that start with E, Q, V, X, Y & Z. If I still haven’t found any by the next set of check-ins then I may have to find ones that fit the author’s last name.

Buzzword-athon
Buzzword-athon is organized by Kayla from BooksinLala and hosted on Goodreads. I’m not officially participating in this – at least not on a month to month basis. I’m more following Kayla’s lead last year where it’s just a matter of meeting the prompts within the year. But I left the month, just in case by some miracle I manage to do it within the allotted month lol.
I’ll be honest, I did not pay attention to this at all – if I’ve read any in the second quarter, they’ll be in square brackets [ ].
Jan: Who, What, Where Why, When – Where the Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire (Mar)

Feb: Pronouns (we, ours, he/she/they) – Not If I Find You First by Ally Carter (Feb)

Mar: Locations – Anne of West Philly by Ivy Noelle Weir (Mar)

Apr: Little/Big
May: Directions – [The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh (May)]

Jun: All
Jul: Bookish (library, page, read)
Aug: Item/Object (key, door, nail, bottle etc)
Sep: Light/Dark
Oct: Animal/Creature
Nov: Ending with ing
Dec: Numbers
This is definately something I’ll have to focus on more in the next couple of quarters. What’s left are prompts that aren’t as “easy” to just happen to fit. I know there are a couple I read in July that will fit in here, so we’ll make some progress in Quarter 3 lol.
How are you doing with your reading challenges?
