Opps, looks like I haven’t done a TBR since June…. well time to start back up again. Like always, I have a few Group Reads/Buddy Reads, some that ARCs need to read, and a few hopefuls too. I’m hoping to participate in a couple of Readathons (Becca’s BookoplAthon & Magical Readathon). So because of that I’m going to organize this month’s TBR based on them.

Becca’s BookoplAthon
Becca’s BookoplAthon was created by Becca in the Books. This will be the second time I’m participating in it (the shorter ones just don’t work for me lol). The Twitter group for BookoplAthon can be found here or on Becca’s channel.
For BookoplAthon, I think I want to do 5 Rolls. But it likely wont stay that low ψ(`∇´)ψ

Roll #1 – Humans (Double)
This one was pretty easy, so many of my books fit for this! I decided to put The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes on here because I need to read it before I read my arc of The Hawthorne Legacy (which needs to be read within the first week of September).
Roll #2 – TBR Game (Double)

For this one, I decided to borrow the prompts that Codie started with for her September game. There were a couple on here that I would have loved to have landed on more, but I can work with Royals.
So this is a bit of a stretch, but I’m going with it. The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. The main character is an heiress – royals are heiresses so……
Roll #3 – History
I was really sad when I landed on History because I haven’t been in the mood for historical fictions. Finally, and I can’t believe I almost forgot about this one, I realized that The Girl in the Tower is historical fiction. This is the second in The Winternight Trilogy that I’m binging along with others in TBR and Beyond Book Club.

Roll #4 – Chance
For this one I went to my Sub Box TBR Cart, pulled out a number generator. It said #20. So my cart is sorted from highest to lowest, so I had no clue which one that would be. It was one The Unbroken by C L Clark! I’m so excited for this one and I just bought the audio for it too!
Roll #5 – Spooky
Intensity by Dean Koontz is a Thriller/Horror and a reread so I know I’ll fly through it. I read this one year and year and years ago, but it was one of the first books I buddy read a book with my grandma. It follows Chyna Shepard (how did I not remember that name? with a “Y” to boot, so 90s) after a murderer enters the house and kills everyone. I also remember some POV chapters from the killers perspective, so lots of creepy vibes here. I’m excited to start this one up!
Roll #6 – POC Rep
I was told I had to read this one in September, so here it is lol. I’m really excited to finally read this one. Maybe then I can finally catch up with the rest of the series.

Roll #7 – Randomize TBR (Double)
For this randomizer, since I’ve done so many already, I decided to randomized my ARC TBR for the month. The winner for that one was The Wolf’s Curse by Jessica Vitalis. This is a middle grade fantasy that deals a lot death and grief.
Roll #8 – Chance
I really need more of my ARCs on here so I took The Wolf’s Curse off and rand it again. This time The Girls Are Never Gone by Sarah Glenn Marsh came up. This one is a YA LGBT Horror book with a podcaster – so even before I was part of the Book Tour for this one, I knew I had to read it (plus I loved Sarah’s previous books)

Ok so now that the board game me 3 more than I had originally wanted, maybe these will fit in The Magical Readathon Prompts.
The Magical Readathon
The Magical Readathon is hosted by G from Book Roast. More information about the readathon can be found here.
The Novice Path – Read a Book with a Map

Ashtorn Tree – Read a book that keeps tempting you (or top of your TBR)

The Mist of Solitude – Read a Standalone

Ruin of the Skye – Read a book featuring ghosts/haunted house
Obsidian Falls – read a Thriller

Tower of Rumination – Read a 5 star prediction

Orilium Academy Arc – read a book with a school setting

Wilding – Read a Book largely set in a forest/outside

Darkmeadow – Read a dark academia book

Elf – Read a book with moon/stars on the cover/title

We’ll call that a list! I was able to get most of them to cross over, but I know I still have a lot of other books I need to read this month that didn’t fit. But we shall see in the end. Are you participating in either of these readathons?

I love both these readathons!
I hope you have a great reading month!
