I’m creating this TBR far in advance (middle of the month) because for some reason I can’t wait any longer. I’m excited by so many books (new and old) and so many tours going on. I have a couple of Tour ARCs that I need to read for July and I’m hoping to get a head start, just because there is no way I can get through all of them in time otherwise.
So let’s start grabbing books off the shelf!
These books are on the list because I have buddy/group reads for them that are being hosted on TBR and Beyond Book Club on Facebook.
These are the three group reads in TBR and Beyond and I’m hosting in two of them. I’m really excited for all of them though!
I requested an arc for A Pho Love Story and it sounds like a perfect summer read. Now that it’s a group read, I have no excuse not to pick it up this summer.
I loved Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston and I desperately need to pick up their second book! I know very little about it, but if its anywhere near as good and addicting as RW&RB then I’ll love it!
Blade of Secrets I’m curious about. Again, I don’t know much about it, but I’m hoping for the addictive quality of Daughter of a Pirate King!
ARCs I’m Prioritizing
Some of these are on my own, while others are part of a tour hosted by TBR and Beyond Tours.
Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim is one of my most anticipated reads of 2021! The cover is gorgeous and I can’t wait to start it. I haven’t read her other series, Spin the Dawn, but it’s on my list to complete this year. It has a lot of tropes that I love – sibblings, arranged marriage, fairytales – I’m super hyped!
The Right Side of Reckless looks like a fun YA RomCom! This sounds like a great opposites attract story (secretly hoping for hate-to-love!!!) that will be perfect to pick up over the summer.
Untethered is the sequel to Shielded. I read Shielded for a tour earlier and loved it! It ended with a cliffhanger and I need to know what’s next!
Others on my TBR
Ok now for any other book that aren’t buddy reads or ARCs. These are ones I’m excited about and hoping to have time to pick up.
I haven’t read any books about the Titanic, but Stacey Lee’s sounds really good! It’s a historical retelling that follows an Chinese girl who needs to get on the Titanic. This has so many elements I love in books including siblings, acrobats, and rewriting historical events!
Finlay Donovan is Killing it I heard about on Olivia Reads A Latte and it sounded like so much fun! A “plain jane” mom who gets mistaken as a contract killer! HELL TO THE YES!
Another gorgeous cover that’s screaming for me to read it. House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland is a YA horror that sounds really good. A lot of people are comparing it to Wilder Gilrs, but I’m not sure if that’s because of the cover, the elements, or the writing style. Either way, the hype has me dying to read it!.
I have way, way, way more books than this that I want to read, but we’d be here forever if I posted my entire ambitious TBR lol.
What are your plans for July? Have you read any of these? What did you think? Do you plan on reading any of them? Let me know in the comments below.
