Friday Favourites was originally hosted by Kibby on Something of the Book, but is now hosted by Geeky Galaxy. The rules are:
- There is a list of bookish topics
- Write up your post, however you feel, following the topic. Your list can be a list of 2 or a list of 50, whatever you feel like. Go wild!
- Don’t want to write your favourites? I fully support a list of least favourites too!
This week’s topic is Book to Cheer You Up. There aren’t many books that cheer me up, but here are the Top 3 books that cheered me up last year!

Heartstopper series by Alice Oseman
This series is amazing! I swear there wasn’t many times while reading this that I wasn’t smiling. If you haven’t read this series, you really need to! Super cute and heart warming!

The Complete Chi’s Sweet Home by Kanata Konami
If you’re a cat and manga lover then you NEED to read this series. It’s beyond adorable and embodies the happiness of cats (kittens) everywhere!
Honourable Mention: Sue & Tai-Chan series has the same feels and it’s by the same author.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by T J Klune
OMG I was not expecting to love this so much. The best way to describe this is a hug in book form! It was so cute and heart warming, but at the same time there was depth and emotion… I did not cry at the end of this book, I don’t know what you’re talking about – you cried…
Those are the ones that automatically came to my head when I saw this prompt. I know two are well known, but I don’t know many people who read manga so I hope I could at least share that happiness with you.
What’s one book that you’ve read recently that cheered you up?

I really, really, really need to read The House in the Cerulean Sea! I finally managed to buy a paper copy for a reasonable price the other day but I am still waiting for it to be delivered!
