Odds & Ends: Among Us Book Tag

While I was searching around for book tag ideas, I can across this tag! It’s such a fun game and the tag seemed like fun too.

I found this on Narrative Paradise, who found it from Breakeven Books, who found it from the original creator, The Glittery Bookworm.

So let’s get venting…

𝗟𝗼𝗯𝗯𝘆: 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗕𝗥.

Ok confession, I’m working on this well in advance from when you’re reading this. So this book is what I’m assuming I’ll be picking up around this time.

Of Silver and Shadow by Jennifer Gruenke is in a world where magic is outlawed and our main character gets involved in a rebellion again the Crown. For a full synposis, click the above link to Goodreads.

I’m part of the book tour for this one, hosted by TBR and Beyond Tours – and if I keep on schedule, this should be the book I’m picking up next around this time.

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.

Ok so this one was a little hard for me. I don’t know if I trust authors with my life…. I trust them to break my heart and rip it to shreds lol.

Ok hear me out! I trust Jay Kristoff and I will pick up everything he writes. I know I’m going to love it…. but… and trust me this is a big but… I know it’s going to break me! I guess that’s mostly how I trust Kristoff – I know he’s going to break me and I’m going to love it lol (too much? lol).

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

This is one that hurts me to say, but Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. I wanted to love Artemis Fowl so bad! I was planning on buying the entire series and the only reason I hadn’t by that point was because I had a hard time finding it for a decent price. I am now very thankful for that! I was just disappointed – and it had such great potential and reviews (from friends). I wont even talk about the movie. It was put on a pedestal and it betrayed me with its disappointing nature.

𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀: 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵.

I’ve been scrolling through my books for what feels like forever right now trying to come up with an answer… this was the best I could give

Atonement by Ian McEwan took me forever to read! It took FOREVER!!! According to Goodreads, it took me 2 months to read. I remember it being slow and dramatic but making no sense. Wait can I add a question? This book by far disappointed me (hated it) and I don’t trust Ian McEwan (I just don’t think his writing is for me).

𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

There were so many books that could have fit for this answer, but I decided on Winterhouse by Ben Guterson. I went into it knowing nothing other than it was a mystery. I figured I’d like it well enough, but I’m still figuring out exactly what I like about middle grade. I was starting to assume that I only liked middle grade Fantasy, but this proved me wrong.

Honourable mentions for this one: Grown by Tiffany D Jackson (first book of Jackson’s I’ve read and can’t believe I’ve waited so long) & Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert (first romance with smut – yes I’ve read books with sex scenes in it, but this was the first one in recent years that I remember loving and the sex scenes added to the greatness of the book.

So that’s it. Fun right?!

Feel free to do the tag, or fake it (sus)!

What’s your go-to colour?
